France, Bourgogne:
This beautiful medieval castle is situated on the borders of the nature reserve Morvan, west of Dijon and just over half an hour by car east of Nevers. Three hours from Paris by car or train. Shops are within 5 minutes and just 30 minutes to the A77 Motorway. Weather conditions are even favourable to the over all mild climate in Burgundy. The micro climate of the area guarantees more sun, less rain and hardly any wind.
Its rich history has been recorded extensively. It had numerous influential owners up to the French Revolution of 1789. In the mid 19th. century it became an educational institute introducing the mew agricultural techniques from England to the farmers of Burgundy.
One of the wings was rebuilt in that period with the newly developed techniques of architect Eiffel, who later became famous with the Eiffel Tower at the Paris World Exhibition in 1887. The yearly music festival "Ete Musical en Sud Morvan" has its closing concert in the courtyard of the castle, an event that may be continued by the new owner.
This property has tremendous investment potential. please contact us for more details. |
